What I stand for

Good software solves real problems. The most complicated solution is not the best one; the best solution works reliably, remains maintainable, and meets the project’s functional and technical needs.

I prefer clear decisions, clean structures, and pragmatic architecture over unnecessary complexity. Technology is not an end in itself; it is a means of building resilient systems.

How I work

  • Short cycles and clear communication: I work in a structured, transparent way, with a clear focus on priorities, risks, and next steps.
  • Build quality in early: Maintainability, testability, and clean technical boundaries are not afterthoughts; they are part of the foundation.
  • Use AI-assisted tools with control: Coding Agents and other AI-assisted tools can accelerate analysis and implementation. That requires traceable repositories, clear architectural boundaries, reviews, and controlled access. Speed does not replace technical responsibility.

Primary employment and independent consulting

I work full-time at the BMW Group as a Senior Software Engineer and serve as Tech Lead on one project. Alongside that role, I advise selected software teams on clearly scoped architecture topics, from AI prototypes to GitOps, Kubernetes, and incremental modernization.

Limited capacity is part of the model: rather than providing long-term staffing, I offer focused reviews and consulting engagements with an outcome agreed in advance. My independent consulting is separate from my work at the BMW Group and focuses on initiatives outside the automotive ecosystem.

My professional background

My focus is on cloud-native and distributed software systems that must be functionally sophisticated, maintainable, and production-ready. I connect architecture with hands-on implementation and treat the application, delivery, and operations as one cohesive system.

My project experience includes TypeScript, Angular, NestJS, Java, and Quarkus, along with Kubernetes, Argo CD, GitHub Actions, Gateway API, Kafka, and Infrastructure as Code. It also includes hands-on infrastructure work, such as building a Kubernetes cluster on bare metal.

The problem spaces I have worked on include multi-tenant B2B platforms in regulated domains, event-driven communication, cloud-native operating models, GitOps-based delivery, and running dynamic workloads on Kubernetes. Confidential customer and project details are intentionally abstracted.

My foundation is a computer science degree from the Technical University of Munich, complemented by practical architecture experience and formal continuing education in Software Architecture.
